Luciano

Veteran of the Italian colonization of Africa, Luciano Vassallo, born in Eritrea (Asmara) witnesses the persecutions and their consequent laws ruled unilaterally to defend the prestige of the Italian race. The laws against the people of Eritrea have cold-bloodedly struck the local people and the so defined “meticcio”. In the difficult and complicated escalation, Luciano, beside the varied experiences, he could overcome enormous difficulties to qualify in the working sector as well as in the sport ground. He finds, definitely, his lost identity during the Italian fascist regime in Ethiopia’s Emperor Haile Selassié reign as well as in the sport field. Luciano describes the past and terrible days through some publications, and updates us with the terrible episodes of injustices suffered by both the races: the master and the servant who contended the lead of violence against the so defined “meticcio”.
